General policy

Full Break Rules.

Review the standing purchase, protection, refund, custody, shipping, and support standards. Each break separately publishes its exact price, supply, payment rails, rip rule, schedule, and other event-specific terms before checkout.

Purchases & support

Refunds & cancellations.

You are buying the physical product and allocation described in the break rules—not a guaranteed valuable card or financial return. Pack contents vary. This general summary sits alongside the specific refund terms published for each break; it does not rewrite an existing purchase receipt or limit rights required by applicable law.

Country restrictions, shipping availability, and taxes: as applicable to the individual event and destination. Review the event rules and your checkout or shipping quote before paying.

Change of mind or disappointing pulls

Once a pack has been opened or its cards revealed or allocated, we do not offer change-of-mind refunds for no valuable hits, unwanted cards, or card values below the purchase price.

Before opening or allocation, contact support promptly to request cancellation. Requests receive discretionary support review; cancellation is not guaranteed unless required by law. Closing checkout or missing the livestream does not cancel a completed purchase.

Payment or fulfillment problems

The change-of-mind rule does not exclude remedies for an incorrect or duplicate charge, non-delivery, a material product or allocation error, or a cancelled or unfulfilled order. Support reviews the evidence to determine the appropriate correction, replacement, or refund under your purchase terms and applicable law.

A required refund will not be replaced with platform credit without your agreement where that agreement is required.

Unopened sealed-product returns

Change-of-mind returns for unopened sealed products receive case-by-case support review; approval is not guaranteed unless required by law. Contact support before sending anything back. For an approved discretionary return, keep the product unopened, with its original seals and packaging intact.

Support will provide the return address and instructions. You pay return postage for a discretionary change-of-mind return unless we agree otherwise. For our error or where required by law, Card Break covers reasonable approved return costs. These conditions do not limit remedies for damaged or incorrect goods or other statutory rights.

How approved refunds are returned

Approved refunds follow the original payment route. Card refunds return to the original payment method, not a different card or bank account. Credit payments are restored as Card Break Credit; cryptocurrency refunds follow the original payment terms.

Bank and payment-provider processing times vary. An approval or pending refund is not confirmation that the money has arrived. Contact support for the status of an existing refund; all applicable refund deadlines and rights still apply. For help, use the support options below.

Card Break Protection

Every Card Has Receipts.

Card Break Protection is the evidence trail behind a pack claim—from the terms shown before payment to the live reveal, card record, custody, and final shipment outcome.

Before payment

The break publishes a versioned receipt containing the product, supply, price, payment rails, timing, rip rule, thresholds, action windows, and material terms.

At reveal

Opening order, stream proof, reveal time, card list, images, and reveal values attach to the pack claim.

After the break

The same asset record follows custody, vault actions, sellback decisions, and shipment fulfillment.

Protection details

Eight parts of the receipt trail.

Green labels identify records already stored by the protocol. Blue labels describe an operating standard. Orange labels call out details still being formalized, so you can see the boundary clearly.

Recorded + disclosed

Base and non-hit cards

An opened pack first appears as one bundle containing every card saved at reveal. The vault shows its reveal-time hit count, bundle offer window, and automatic-resolution deadline from that purchase's saved rules.

Hit and non-hit status is locked against that break's saved reveal threshold. A later market-price change does not silently reclassify the cards.

  • Store as Asset first shows a card-by-card preview. Confirming stores the listed hits as individual platform assets and forfeits the listed non-hits to platform custody; cancelling changes nothing.
  • Trading the full bundle for a Second Chance Ticket forfeits the bundle, including any hits still inside it.
  • Before automatic resolution, eligible full bundles can be manually traded for one Second Chance Ticket through the Traffic Light experience. At the deadline, untouched non-hit bundles receive one ticket directly without the game; untouched hit bundles store their hits and forfeit their non-hits.
Protection standard

Sealed product and opening-camera requirements

The published rip rule decides whether a claim must open live, lets its owner choose open-live or keep-sealed before the cutoff, or keeps every pack sealed. Only claims marked open-live enter the reveal queue.

For a live opening, the protection standard is to show the product identity and intact seal before opening, then keep the product, pack, and card reveal in a continuous, reviewable camera view.

  • Auto-rip: the purchased pack is opened live.
  • User choice: the owner may switch an unopened claim before the live/reveal window closes.

Camera compliance is reviewed from stream evidence; the platform does not currently certify it automatically.

Recorded when supplied

Stream replay and exact reveal timestamp

A published reveal can retain the stream or replay URL, the exact timestamp entered for that opening, the pack's opening order, the server publication time, and a reveal version.

The Watch Reveal link in the vault returns to that saved proof. The timestamp identifies the relevant moment, while the replay itself remains subject to the stream host's availability and retention rules.

A saved link is evidence of the source used for the reveal; it is not a promise that a third-party host will preserve the video forever.

Immutable receipts

Front and back card images after opening

Each revealed physical card has separate front and back capture slots that remain distinct from catalog or reference art. The vault and protection review show which sides are complete or still missing.

Every captured image is stored as verified private bytes with its source, capture time, server record time, content hash, and authenticated admin recorder. A correction appends a new version with a reason while preserving every prior receipt.

Photos are available only to the owning account and authorized administrators; a missing side remains visibly missing rather than falling back to catalog art.

Recorded snapshot

Reveal value and valuation source

Each revealed card can retain its reveal value, currency, source or provider details, lookup time, source link, and any manual override provenance. The bundle total and reveal-time hit threshold are saved with the reveal.

Current market estimates may be refreshed later for reference, but they do not silently rewrite the reveal snapshot, submitted sellback terms, payouts, XP, or ticket rewards.

The reveal-value source is not yet presented as a fully immutable vault receipt. All values are estimates, not guaranteed grades, sale prices, or future market values.

Recorded lifecycle

Current custody and shipment history

The vault asset records the beneficiary, ownership mode, current lifecycle status, and custody wallet when one applies. Asset events preserve important transitions from paid claim through reveal and final outcome.

A shipment record groups every included asset with its destination, quote and payment state, additions or fee waivers, preparation status, carrier, tracking number, shipped state, and delivery acknowledgement when recorded.

Shipping is paid separately, with applicable charges disclosed before payment. Eligible cards you choose to store in Card Break's custodial inventory can be requested for shipment later on payment of applicable charges, subject to payment, ownership, or legal holds. The initial bundle decision window is not a permanent shipping deadline for those stored assets.

Check your delivery address and the shipment terms before paying. Quoted dispatch and delivery dates are estimates unless expressly guaranteed. International customs duties, import taxes, and brokerage charges are the recipient's responsibility unless stated otherwise; applicable consumer rights remain unchanged.

These records are not yet presented as one unified physical chain-of-custody timeline, and a storage location is not modeled. Sensitive address and tracking data may be redacted under the retention policy after fulfillment.

Policy-backed workflow

Missing, incorrect, damaged, and non-delivery claims

Once an administrator publishes the first protection policy, the vault provides a self-service flow for missing, incorrect, damaged, and non-delivery claims. Eligibility, filing deadlines, response targets, resolution targets, required evidence, and allowed remedies come from the immutable policy receipt pinned to that claim.

Evidence uploads are private, authenticated, checksum-verified files. Claim status, evidence additions, operator decisions, and completed remedies advance through a durable event history rather than replacing earlier records.

  • Report missing, incorrect, or damaged items promptly and keep the packaging and available photos. Do not discard packaging or return an item until the operator gives instructions.
  • For non-delivery, the carrier scan history and any carrier investigation become part of the review.
  • A remedy is decided from the evidence and the applicable break and shipping terms; filing a report does not predetermine an outcome.

The self-service workflow fails closed while protection is unconfigured. If the form is unavailable, use the email support option below. Form availability does not remove your rights; Card Break does not invent default filing deadlines or remedies.

Dispatch enforcement

Insurance and signature confirmation for high-value shipments

Preparation creates an immutable assessment of the exact package contents and their recorded values under the shipment's pinned policy. The policy supplies the high-value threshold, coverage ceiling, permitted country and carrier codes, and required signature service.

Dispatch requires a carrier, carrier code, tracking number, expected-delivery timestamp, and an intact package assessment. A high-value package also requires the exact declared value, insurance evidence, signature service, and permitted route—or a specially authorized exception bound to that policy and assessment with the waived controls and reason audited.

Do not assume a parcel is insured or signature-required unless its shipment receipt expressly confirms the controls. An exception remains visible as an exception, not as completed coverage.

If something goes wrong

Start with the receipt trail.

Identify the break, pack claim, asset, and shipment once. Card Break can match them to the records already on the platform while you add only the evidence in your possession.

Card Break is operated by Obsidian Finance, under the oversight of OP Labs LLC. Card Break support handles order, payment, return, and shipping enquiries. Review times depend on the issue and available evidence; any deadlines in your applicable claims policy and your statutory rights remain unchanged.

Open Claim Support, or email elmy@obsidian.finance if you cannot sign in or use the form. Include your order or claim reference and a description of the problem. Never send a seed phrase, private key, or full payment-card details.

  • Pack number and purchase transaction
  • Replay link and reveal timestamp
  • Card image and reveal-value snapshot
  • Custody, package contents, and tracking
  • Photos or video of the item and packaging

Review first. Buy second.

Know the trail before the rip.
